TYPES OF ACTIVITIES read more....

The types of joint activities are as follows:

  • We will experience different aspects of community together during the workshops. Each workshop lasts from two to four days and detailed information about the workshop content is available below in the workshop description.

  • There will also be online classes, of two types. The first are those workshops that cannot be completed on site due to the complex process of emerging a solution. For example - developing a common mission for the community will certainly take many weeks and a series of online meetings will serve to develop it. Their frequency will depend on where the group ends the stationary workshop. The second type of online meetings are weekly, hour-long circles, which will be an extension of the community building workshop (CBST, CBW)

  • The third type of classes is everything that will help build a sense of community in the group. These activities will be interwoven with the workshop and will be completed during and after the workshop. There will be dancing, singing, rituals, working together, cooking together. The course of these classes will depend on many factors - weather, mood, topic of the current workshop.

  • Sometimes it may turn out that some of the participants will require support in the form of therapeutic activities. This should not be demonized, but some of the workshops will touch on intimate areas of each participant and it is not entirely clear what memories or traumas may be revealed.

A detailed plan/schedule of all classes is posted below

GENERAL ASSUMPTIONS read more....

The school's curriculum is developed based on three assumptions.

Firstly - although the entire training process does not have to lead to the creation of a fully functioning community (although it can, especially when the group of students is an existing group/community), the order of the workshops is crucial, as it allows for 'going deeper' - for greater intimacy and closeness in the group. Without this closeness, some of the workshops will be artificial, and some solutions will not be possible to develop.

Secondly - the workshops are very clearly divided into two groups. The first group (blue) is a group of practical skills, e.g. rituals, creativity or conflict resolution. Most of the workshops belong to this group. The second group, which includes two workshops (pink), is a group that de facto 'enables' all the other workshops. They are, as it were, the 'lubricant' that sets the entire training mechanism in motion. These workshops are Community Building Workshop and Common Earning.

Thirdly - the workshops are mostly facilitated, not led. During these sessions, there is some transfer of knowledge from the leader to the group, but we assume that the group has enough experience and wisdom to be able to develop its own methods of action.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the workshop is to develop a common position on the question - why are we doing this? The answer to this question will be primarily to provide motivation for further work for the entire group and to give meaning to the actions and hardships undertaken.
