Why are we doing it?
Our inner impulse to search for meaning, security and joy in life has led us to a place where closeness to other people is an essential component of our being in the world. The closeness and authenticity of the relationship, which only shows that they can do something for each other. But not the other way around, closeness cannot be built from mutual 'interests' or 'barter'.
That is why the central point of our activities is building communities. A place between us - people, where political or ideological differences recede into the background, a place where we magically connect with each other and where we see that we are one. And then the differences cease to make any sense and security appears spontaneously.
We are a married couple with 28 years of experience. We have been working hand in hand almost throughout majority of our common life.
The first big adventure was moving from the sea to the Tatra Mountains and realizing our dreams of living together, after years of weekend marriage, to which economic reasons forced us. Tajgołka was created, our 5 cottages in a beautiful place in the Tatra Mountains, a center dedicated to families with children.
At some point, around 2010, we both felt a call (or maybe a calling) for our own development. This could not be combined with running the facility. So we set off on the path of development workshops, meditation, crossing our own narrow fields of view of the world, supporting and helping each other. Each in a different direction, but together.
We came across the next adventure of our lives - permaculture. We fell in love with Nature, with living with it (although it has always been in us) and we founded a permaculture farm. The main reason for this was the search for security and meaning in the madness of today's world.
When running Tajgołka, we were looking for relationships with people, mutual understanding and support. It wasn’t always so…
Observing what is happening in the world, we decided that security will come from independence from the system, our own food and energy. Today, after six years (written in 2023), we see that even if it is possible, we will never achieve safety in separation from people.
